1st Team Result 11th Oct 2025 Crosshills 7-2 Rolls FC
The hills with several players returning after missing the last couple of games, got back to winning ways with an emphatic win against visitors Rolls, Hills were on the front foot from the off and the pace and power of Conway & Stanfield up front was giving the Rolls defence nightmares, The half ended with the home team 3 goals to the good, The 2nd period was much of the same but the visitors did add some respectability to the score by grabbing 2 goals but Hills romped through the game to secure a 7-2 victory and leapfrog their opponents in the league to go 4th, Hills MOTM was Sam Stanfield with 2 goals and ably assisted by Zac Conway with 2, Josh Page,Joe McCormack and Theo Reay with 1 apiece
2nd Team Result 11th Oct 2025 Skipton Town Res 2 - 1 Crosshills 2nds (AWAY)
Hills 2nd team fell to their first Loss of the season, and not having played for several weeks they were definitely not in match play mood, But Hills were still by far the better side but for all their domination they were unable to convert their opportunities into goals, and the Town took advantage of this, they grabbed a first half goal against the run of play, the 2nd half saw Hills draw level with a fine shot and finish from Andy North and like the 1st half saw hills huff and puff and miss numerous chances to put the game to bed and as is so often in games like this they fell to the sucker punch in the final few minutes with skipton stealing the points and celebrating a backs to the wall win against an underperforming Hills side
1st Team Result 27th Sep 2025 Grassington 4-1 Crosshills (AWAY)
For the 3rd week in a row the side was hit by unavailability, But like last week the 15 selected put in a great shift especially the first 45mins, Hills went toe to toe with the champions and in a fiercely contested 1st half they were winning their individual battles and their commitment and desire to match their opponents was rewarded in a superb goal from Danny Driver,Both sides were creating and missing chances to score, but it was Hills who deservedly led 1-0 at the break, The 2nd half saw the home side dominate the game and were level very soon, But Hills were then dealt a massive blow as they were reduced to 10 men, it was now an uphill task against a bigger fitter and a more physical side who used their height and size in the air to grab 2 more goals & plus a worldie from 25 yards to secure the win, MOTM for Hills was Joe McCormack, other notable players on the day were the experienced Driver,North,& Newton, But having 6 teenagers on the field as well gaining valuable experience can only be good for the club even though the result wasn’t
1st Team Result 20th Sept 2025 Burley T 1-0 Crosshills (AWAY)
In atrocious conditions with a strong wind and driving rain, Both sides played some attractive football, And there was little to chose between these 2 teams, Hills started the brighter and went close in the opening minutes, they continued to press the home side who defended doggedly, but as the half went on Burley came more into it and were moving the ball around impressively and after a series of corners they took the lead when the hills defence misjudged the flight of the ball due to the wind and the Trojans took the lead & the advantage into HT, Burley took the game to hills early in the 2nd half and could easily have increased their goal tally as the visitors goal led a charmed life,As the half went on and with every ball being contested. Hills were getting on top and unfortunately missed 2 glaring opportunities to go ahead, they continued to press to the final whistle but it was not to be their day and the home side held on to secure the win, Crosshills left empty handed knowing that they should have really come away with at least a point, but instead received a big blow to their league ambitions
1st Team Result 13th Sept 2025 (HOME) Crosshills 6-2 Colne Utd
Hills started the game in a positive way against their old rivals Colne and were soon pushing the visitors back but it looked as though their luck was out as a few chances went begging and also some excellent saves from the Colne keeper, but eventually Wrigglesworth with a well executed finish put the hills ahead, Colne were also beginning to show their quality but Newton was rolling back the years at the heart of the hills defence with an imperious first half display, The last 20 minutes of the half belonged to Conway as he tormented the visitors and put hills in control with 2 excellent goals, Manager Knowles changed the formation at HT, but unfortunately it didn’t go to plan as Colne pulled a well worked goal back, but the home side responded and that man Wrigglesworth “ wriggled” his way through the Colne rearguard and made it 4, colne still had some fight in them and capitalized on some sloppy defending to get their 2nd goal, but with that 2 goal cushion subs Reay,North & Jenkins came on to give hills fresh momentum, and they took full advantage, and MOTM Conway saw the keeper make an outstanding save from him and then he hit the post with another tremendous effort, and then assisted Jenkins for the 5th goal, And the final act of the game was left to Jenkins as he hit a screamer from 25 yards to make it 6 and out for Colne
1st Team Result 6th Sept 2025 (HOME)Crosshills 7-0 Skipton Town 1st Team
Putting in their best display of the season, Hills demolished the visitors from the first minute to the last. Sam Stanfield opened the scoring with a poacher's finish, and penalty king Zac Conway added a quick 2nd from the spot, Skipton did try to pressure the hills defence and looked to be forcing their way back into the game as they went close a couple of times, But Tom Storrie snuffed out any hope of that happening by bustling his way through for a 3rd goal, 3-0 as we turned round for the 2nd half and it was one way traffic as the home side crushed any ideas of a comeback by the visitors, Zac Conway added to his tally with a classy score and Josh Page rose the highest to smash home a thunderous header, The last 20 mins belonged to the legs of the Hills youngsters as manager Knowles threw them into the fray, Theo Reay scoring after a great dribble and shot, Maxim Syroka powering home a great header and James Rosser putting on a show with his skilful ball control, MOTM was Zac Conway who caused Skipton Town problems all afternoon along with his strike partner Stanfield
2nd Team Result 4th September 2025 Addingham Res 1-4 Crosshills 2nds (AWAY)
The 2nd team retained their position at the top but “Dingham” were certainly not playing like a team that had not won a game yet, Hills started the game playing their customary possession based game and the home team were working overtime but they were showing great spirit & determination and were contesting every ball, Hills though took the lead through Danny Driver from the penalty spot, But the warning signs were there for Hills as they took their foot off the gas and Addingham made it 1-1 with a free kick that cannoned off the bar and debatable as to whether it was over the line, Hills came out in the 2nd half in a determined mood and it was youngster Jake Hall getting on the end of an inviting cross from Wrigglesworth to make it 2-1,with the old heads of Longley, North,Jenkins & MOTM Bentham controlling the play, Hills pushed forward looking for further goals which came from 2 clinical finishes from distance by Andy North, other notable performances were Callum Creed, Syroka, and Rosser
1st Team Result 2nd Sept 2025 Sutton 3-3 Crosshills (AWAY)
As expected the game was a close run affair, and against the run of play Sutton took the lead with the Hills defence caught square and slow to react, Hills weren’t behind for long and Sam Stanfield smashed home an unstoppable strike but straightaway again Hills failed to close down Sutton forwards and an hopeful punt ended up in the top corner, Again Hills came from behind and just before HT were awarded a penalty which was coolly despatched by Zac Conway, But the homesters were not to be denied and struck Back again to take a 3-2 lead into the 2nd half, With manager Knowles ringing the changes and making multiple substitutions, Hills were the more forceful side in the 2nd half and an hatful of chances came and went as they strived for that equaliser but eventually a 2nd penalty came their way again Zac Conway converting to level the scores, Hills continued to press but the beleaguered home side used the (dubious )new Roll on roll off subs,to their advantage to run the time down and secure a point against an under par Hills side, MOTM for Hills was James Rosser
2nd Team Result 30th August 2025 Barlick Wanderers 1-4 Crosshills (AWAY)
The 2nd team went back to the top of the league with workmanlike performance against a solid experienced Barlick side, With a strong wind blowing against them Hills were trying to keep the ball on the floor and were the dominant side in the opening half going close on several occasions and eventually accepted the opportunity through Wrigglesworth, 1-0 at HT and the visitors were in a confident mood and were soon 2-0 up has Hough was on hand to head home, Hills were now well on top and a 3rd goal arrived via the wand of a left foot strike from 30 yards by Rosser, with hills well on top Donegan added a 4th with a sweet finish from the edge of the box, the home side did manage to get a consolation goal back with minutes left, MOTM was veteran and midfield Maestro James Whitehead, also impressing was Rosser, Donegan, and Wrigglesworth as Hills continue their good unbeaten start to the season.
2nd Team Result 28th August 2025 Cowling Reserves 2-2 Crosshills (AWAY)
As expected, Hills came up against a determined home side and both sides remained unbeaten and took a point apiece, Hills started the better and were on top in the opening 25 mins and with some flowing football Andy North & Tom Storrie combined to send in Jake Hall who finished with aplomb to put the visitors 1-0 up, it wasn’t long before hills were 2 to the good, again some great football on display and Jordan Hough was on hand to complete it. Unfortunately, Hills relaxed and allowed the gritty “Cows” back in the game, first from a deflected free kick that took a wicked bounce, and then the equaliser after a ping pong session in the Hills box was eventually blasted home. Hills did have a perfectly good goal chalked off by the referee,2-2 at HT, The 2nd half saw Hills dominate the play except for the occasional breakaway by the home team, but for all the pressure they failed to break down the home side, and with chances being frittered away and some resolute defending Hills had to settle for the point MOTM was Max Syroka, also Clarkson and Newton top performers as well.
1st Team Result 26th August 2025 (HOME) Crosshills 7-0 Clayton Albion
Newcomers to the league were put to the sword in an imposing and exhilarating 1st half display by the home team who scored 5 without reply, Madden opened the scoring with a smart goal, followed by a sumptuous left footed finish from 20 yards by Page, Hills were rampant with the pace of Conway and Stanfield & the trickery of McCormack giving the visitors multiple problems, Stanfield added 2 more with clinical finishing plus a slick finish from McCormack also getting on the scoresheet, Clayton Alb could easily have been more behind but they stuck to the task and competed throughout, The 2nd half was a bit easier for the visitors has Hills took their foot off the pedal & made use of the roll on roll off substitutions but Stanfield did add another couple of goals to make it 4 for him & 7 to the Hills, overall it was the complete performance by the home team strong in defence, Midfield control and potent up front and every player from 1-15 gave 100% in a dominant display, MOTM for Hills was Sam Stanfield
2nd Team Result 23rd August 2025 (HOME) Crosshills 3-2 Embsay
Crosshills' second team played host to Embsay in what was always going to be a tough game with both sides starting the season well. Crosshills started slowly, trying to get a hold of the fast passing and moving Embsay. For around 25 minutes, it was evenly balanced. Then a long ball over the top caused problems and Jacko Wrigglesworth forced an error, before calmly lifting the ball over the keeper to give Hills the lead. The lead didn’t last long, with a great equaliser from Embsay, rising at the back post to head home and make it 1-1. Crosshills knew they had to dig in and soon took the lead again through a wonder strike from Andrew North, the keeper getting finger tips onto it before going in off the post. This lifted hills, and soon they made it 3-1 with Jordan Hough finding the net with a stunning finish. 3-1 at half-time, and Crosshills knew they were going to be under pressure in the second half. As the game went on, the pressure mounted in an evenly balanced game. Embsay pulled a goal back with 15 minutes to go. With a few injuries and tired legs creeping in, Hills made changes, and they dug in to take all 3 points. A very entertaining game from both sides. Some great performances from skipper Scott Newton, Max Syorka, and Jamie Longley. Player of the match was Andrew North, who was on the scoresheet and did more running today than we’ve seen before. Hills travel to local rivals Cowling on Thursday night, looking to carry on with their momentum as they go top of the league

2nd Team Result 21st August 2025 (HOME) Crosshills 1-1 Oxenhope Development
What a cracking contest between 2 evenly matched sides, the visitors with a youthful side played a very quick brand of pass and move, and were certainly a handful for the home side, The first half saw the visitors on top but the Hills lads dug in with Thompson & Jenkins game management keeping them in the contest, but a swift breakaway resulted in a well taken goal to put Oxenhope 1-0 up which they carried into the break, The 2nd half was now the opportunity for the Hills youngsters to show there potential with Rosser Hedges Syroka, & Creed all to the fore and it was Creed who brought Hills level with a smart finish, Wrigglesworth was also proving to be unplayable and was creating problems for the visitors and through his endeavors Hills should have secured the victory as he laid on two easy chances for team mates who found it easier to miss than score, overall it was a fair result in a game that neither side deserved to lose. Hills MOTM was Lucas Creed. There were also good performances from Muir, Clarkson, and Hedges.
1st Team Result 19th August 2025 Cowling 3-1 Crosshills (AWAY)
A very competitive and entertaining game enjoyed by everyone present, The home side were very much the better side in the opening 20 mins and went ahead from a well placed free kick, But Hills responded and pushed forward and pressed cowling back but were met by a very resolute & uncompromising home defence and some very lenient refereeing, Hills 1-0 down at HT came out in a determined mood and a thunderbolt from 25 yards by Madden brought them level, Hills were now playing possession football and looking likely winners, whereas the home team were relying on the long ball out of defence and eventually it paid off, as they grabbed the lead from that tactic with hills appealing for what looked “offside”The nail in the coffin for hills came towards the end with a mix up in defence and a mis hit shot looping into the top corner to give the “Cows” a flattering win, For Hills after several seasons out of the top flight there was a lot of positives to take from the game against a very well organised experienced and physical side
2nd Team Result 16th August 2025 Kelbrook 1-2 Crosshills (AWAY)
The 2nd team made the journey over the hill into Pendle and after a determined performance came away with all 3 points, However Kelbrook were on top in the early stages and took an early lead even though it was debatable-offside, The home team could easily have been out of sight but they squandered the opportunities offered, this enabled Hills to get a foothold back in the game which resulted in an equalizer from the persistence of Josh Knight, Hills kept pushing forward with Alfie Hedges to the fore down the left flank and Maude, Jenkins, and North setting up play from midfield, Going into the 2nd half Kelbrook could only counter on the break with hills having more of the ball, but they did force Emmott in the hills nets to make a couple of outstanding saves, who was also ably assisted by strong performances from Clarkson, Newton,&Muir,The visitors needed fresh legs on a warm energy sapping day and the introduction of Jones,Jackson, Martinez, Hall, & Rosser, gave them the lift they needed, but it was veteran North who secured the win with a stunning drive late in the game, and gained him the MOTM
